Job summary

Ingenium Imaging Solutions is seeking a Field Technician for extensive travel across the United States and occasional international work. You will operate advanced data-capture gear, execute survey scopes, and ensure deliverables meet client standards.

This full-time, variable-hour role requires lifting heavy equipment, strict safety compliance, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules. Training support for FAA Part 107 will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

  • Extensive travel required (1–8 weeks per assignment).
  • Physical ability to lift and carry equipment daily.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work long hours and variable schedules.
  • FAA Part 107 Certification training provided if not yet held.

The Field Technician plays a critical role in data acquisition and site surveying. This position requires extensive travel to diverse client locations across the United States, with occasional international assignments. Field Technicians are responsible for operating specialized equipment, executing survey scopes, documenting data, and ensuring project deliverables meet company and client standards.

This is a full-time, variable-hour position. Hours will fluctuate based on project demands, seasonality, and client needs. While heavy workloads are common during peak periods, Ingenium reserves the right to reduce or pause scheduling during slower periods. No minimum hours are guaranteed.

Essential Responsibilities
1. Travel & Logistics
  • Complete extended travel assignments, typically ranging from 1–8 weeks, including both domestic and international locations.
  • Adhere to company travel policies regarding transportation, accommodations, and per diem allowances.
  • Remain available for frequent schedule adjustments, including last‑minute deployments.
2. Data Acquisition & Survey Execution
  • Operate advanced equipment including 3D cameras, 360&degree; cameras, drones, laser scanners, and proprietary capture technology.
  • Execute client‑specific Scopes of Work (SOW) with precision, ensuring all data and imagery meet quality and accuracy standards.
  • Conduct on‑site measurements, surveys, MEP asset documentation, and any required revisions to project files.
3. Communication & Coordination
  • Maintain consistent, professional communication with Operations Coordinators, Project Managers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Provide timely status updates, elevate on‑site issues, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Represent the company professionally in all client‑facing interactions.
4. Data Management
  • Upload, process, and organize captured data in accordance with company protocols.
  • Perform quality assurance checks to confirm data completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
  • Integrate deliverables into project management systems for internal and client review.
5. Equipment & Safety
  • Safely transport, operate, and maintain company equipment, including drones, scanners, cameras, laptops, and related tools.
  • Comply with OSHA safety requirements, including safe use of ladders, PPE usage, and site‑specific hazard protocols.
  • Work within drop ceilings, elevated areas, or confined spaces as required by project scope.
  • Immediately report equipment damage, loss, or malfunction to supervisors.
  • Ensure adherence to FAA drone regulations and any client or site‑mandated safety standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum age of 21 (due to extensive travel and vehicle rental requirements).
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license; ability to safely operate personal and rental vehicles.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and transport up to 50 lbs of equipment on a routine basis.
  • Physical capacity to work long hours on‑site, including standing, crouching, bending, and navigating confined or elevated spaces.
  • Ability to climb and safely work from ladders, scaffolding, and other elevated surfaces, in compliance with OSHA standards and site‑specific safety requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to work within drop ceilings, attics, and other overhead spaces while using required PPE.
  • Comfort working in construction zones, active commercial facilities, industrial sites, or outdoor conditions.
  • Flexibility for frequent and extended travel assignments typically ranging from 1–8 weeks.
  • FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot Certification – While not required upon hire, employees must obtain an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate within the timeframe designated by Ingenium Imaging Solutions as a condition of continued employment. The company provides training support and resources to assist in achieving certification; however, successful passage of the FAA examination and maintenance of active certification status are the responsibility of the employee.
