Job summary

Environmental Works Inc. is hiring a Laborer / Field Technician to support field services and emergency response tasks across industrial sites. The role includes hands-on cleaning, equipment operation, and travel to job sites with on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs hands-on work such as pressure washing, hydroblasting, vacuum truck operations support, spill response, tank cleaning, steam cleaning, and basic industrial maintenance.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and tight quarters.
• Wear PPE including respirators, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, coveralls, and hearing protection.
• Operates a company vehicle to travel to and from job sites.
• Uses hand tools, light machinery, and sharp tools on site.
• Maintains tools and equipment for proper operation.
• Works safely following OSHA requirements.

LABORER / FIELD TECHNICIAN | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs various hands‑on work such as pressure washing, hydroblasting, dry/wet vacuum truck operations support, spill response, tank cleaning, steam cleaning, and basic industrial maintenance
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and tight quarters
• Be able to wear protective clothing and equipment such as respirators, safety glasses, approved steel‑toe shoes, coveralls, and hearing protection
• Operates a company motor vehicle to travel to and from job sites
• Operate hand tools, light machinery, and sharp tools while on job location
• Provides care and light maintenance of tools and equipment to maintain their proper operation
• Works in a safe and healthy manner in accordance with established safety and OSHA requirements

LABORER / FIELD TECHNICIAN | POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS:

• Full-time position
• Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend and holidays required. Home Most Evenings and weekends!
• Overnight travel required up to 50%; travel via company vehicle
• On-call availability occasionally on a rotating schedule

LABORER / FIELD TECHNICIAN | PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Three (3) years of general labor or construction experience preferred
• CDL - B Preferred

LABORER / FIELD TECHNICIAN | WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• EWI's field service team works in a variety of industrial plants and settings. We encounter dust, oils, various commodities such as grain and fertilizer, in varying weather/temperature conditions.
• Employee must follow all safety standards and wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
• This employee is required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Must be able to regularly lift and carry 50 pounds.
