Job summary

Nelson Brothers is seeking a hardworking operator assistant for our Cordova, AL site. You will assist with blasting operations, prepare holes, and load materials using blend trucks and Bobcats. Safety and teamwork are essential as you support daily site tasks.

The role requires operating heavy equipment, performing basic maintenance, and following company procedures to ensure safe, efficient operations. Valid driver's license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist blaster in charge with wiring of shot.
• Load holes using blend truck and related equipment.
• Check trucks for maintenance needs.
• Perform minor routine maintenance on truck and equipment.
• Load trucks with product.
• Prepare holes to receive product.
• Operate Bobcat for stemming holes.
• Perform duties safely and be responsible for others' safety.
• Perform other duties as needed by the Company.

8. 8. Performs all duties in a safe manner, being responsible for the safety of yourself and the employees around you.
9. 9. Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the Company.
