Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking an experienced Technical Products Specialist to train customers, inspect coatings, and troubleshoot Graco XP-50 and Graco Reactor systems in the wastewater infrastructure sector. This field-forward role requires extensive travel and hands-on site work.

The candidate will deliver on-site training, perform QA/QC inspections, and support sales with technical insights while developing training materials and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in epoxy and polyurethane coatings in wastewater infrastructure.
• 5+ years operating Graco XP-50 and Graco Reactor spray systems.
• 3+ years training coating applicators or technical field crews.
• Knowledge of surface preparation standards and coating inspection methods.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (65-70%).

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site and hands-on training for customers and certified applicators on Graco systems and coatings.
• Perform QA/QC field inspections and document results for project managers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and provide technical guidance to sales, application, and service teams.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure compliance with specs and warranties.
• Develop training content and maintain adherence to industry standards (AMPP/SSPC/OSHA).
