Job summary

New Era Technology is seeking a field service technician to install, start up, and service cooling equipment across customer sites. You may travel up to 20% as needed and work in varied environments.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, replace faulty components, read electrical schematics, perform preventive maintenance, and complete detailed service reports while delivering professional customer service on site.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience repairing or maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment, HVAC systems, manufacturing equipment, or similar machinery.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience working on 200-440V electrical equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and work onsite independently.

Job Description:

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Read electrical wiring diagrams and basic technical drawings.
• Test equipment and verify proper operation after repairs.
• Complete service reports after each visit.
• Provide professional customer service while working onsite.
• Travel to customer locations when needed.

What We're Looking For:

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience repairing or maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment, HVAC systems, manufacturing equipment, automation systems, compressors, pumps, generators, or similar machinery.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience working on 200-440V electrical equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable replacing electrical and mechanical components.
• Able to work independently in the field.

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, bend, kneel, and work at customer locations.
• Travel up to 20% as needed.

Schedule:

Full-time

Typically, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts.

Occasional overtime and on-call support may be required.
