Job summary

HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding division is seeking skilled technicians to install, operate, maintain, repair and modify equipment at customer sites. You will analyze performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement field changes while coordinating with engineering teams.

Qualified candidates have an Associate's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent NNPS/NNS credentials. On-site roles require US citizenship and a full-time commitment.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
• NNS Apprentice School graduate.
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate.
• High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience.
• High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.
• Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
• Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
• Maintains effective customer communications and may provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
