Field Tech - Mid level - Environmental Remediation

Position Overview

Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES) is seeking Environmental Field Technicians to support field activities throughout Florida, especially in northern and central regions. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on complex environmental projects while enjoying a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform soil and groundwater sampling and assist with remedial system operations and maintenance.
• Complete well development activities and maintain equipment calibration logs.
• Record detailed field notes for each site visit.
• Handle warehouse and general maintenance duties.
• Perform labor, construction, and general repairs as required.
• Supervise contractors during subsurface excavations, tank removals, and installation of equipment and piping.
• Follow GES policies and adhere to health and safety standards in all field activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-7+ years of relevant field experience, including groundwater sampling, remediation system operation, and construction oversight.
• Mechanical aptitude is essential.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is preferred; if not possessed, it will be provided. Certification is required for job duties.
• Flexible schedule and outdoor work readiness.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-oriented mindset.
