Job summary

WPI is seeking a Field Technician – Class C to perform tasks as assigned by supervision, travel by crew boat or helicopter when required, and maintain high safety and housekeeping standards. You will complete labor reporting and quality-control documentation while supporting preventative maintenance tasks on offshore equipment.

The role requires basic tooling, OEM gas engine knowledge, and the ability to work under supervision with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have effective communication skills and be able to follow directions precisely.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with GET/OEM Gas Engine Technology training.
• Travel by crew boat or helicopter may be required; safety equipment training preferred.
• Knowledge of OEM equipment and basic electrical/mechanical principles is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks as assigned by supervisor/management and lead technician.
• Work safely and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
• Complete required paperwork including labor reporting and quality-control documentation.
• Perform preventative maintenance as directed by supervisor; LO/TO procedures followed.
• Own basic tooling and keep it ready for use on site.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.

Job purposePromote good attitudes and aesthetics that are represented of WPI, while Offshore. Communicate with lead technician on progress or any special circumstances that may affect the job. Promote safe work practices and insure that JSA and all HSE requirements for job are followed. Fill out detailed daily service tickets reports, review with customer and have signed daily.
