Job summary

Waukesha-pearce Industries Llc seeks a Field Technician – Class B to perform service and maintenance on industrial engines. You will follow supervisor directions, upgrade service bulletins, and ensure clean, safe work practices while documenting daily activities for customers.

Requirements include 2+ years on industrial engines, GET or equivalent training, a valid driver's license, and strong tooling/diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

  • Two years minimum experience on industrial engines (gas/diesel).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Attended and passed basic OEM Gas Engine Technology (GET) or equivalent.
  • Valid driver license and driving record compliant with insurance.
  • Knowledge of OEM equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience with tooling.
  • Basic mechanical principles and mathematics.
  • Basic electrical diagnostics.
  • Proficient with Windows/Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient using precision measuring tools.
  • Truck crane operation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks as assigned by supervisor/management or lead technician.
  • Determine safe and efficient procedures to perform jobs.
  • Perform GEW Service Bulletin upgrades as instructed by factory.
  • Inspect own work for tolerances and fit.
  • Demonstrate productivity in assigned tasks.
  • Complete required paperwork and labor reporting.
  • Maintain housekeeping at work site.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery/equipment.
  • LO/TO of every job and review with crew.
  • Own basic tooling (1/4-1/2 in wrenches, 3/8 and 1/2 in sockets, air impacts, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.

Job description

Job purposePromote good attitudes and aesthetics that are represented of WPI. Communicate with lead technician on progress or any special circumstances that may affect the job. Promote safe work practices and insure that JSA and all HSE requirements for job are followed. Fill out detailed daily service tickets reports, review with customer and have signed daily.
