Job summary

Waukesha-pearce Industries Llc seeks a Field Technician – Class A to lead and train technicians while performing assigned engine service tasks in Odessa, TX. You will communicate daily with customers about progress and any delays, promoting safe work practices and ensuring all HSE requirements are followed.

You will read schematics and specifications, upgrade OEM engine service bulletins, inspect work, and complete comprehensive reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Has attended OEM Engine Specification and Design course or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with driving record complying with company insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks as assigned by supervisor/lead technician and develop other technicians.
• Able to read schematics, blueprints, sketches, drawings and specifications.
• Determine the best procedure to perform a job safely and effectively.
• Perform GEW Service Bulletin upgrades as set by factory.
• Inspect own work at each step for tolerances and fit.
• Complete required paperwork including labor reporting and quality control documentation.
• Work safely and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Adhere to LO/TO procedures for each job and review with crew.
• Tag and return warranty or core parts with complete unit information.

Job description

Job purposeLead and train other technicians while performing assigned jobs. Promote good attitudes and aesthetics that are represented of WPI. Daily communication to customer of progress or any special circumstances that has delayed job in completing in the set time. Promote safe work practices and insure that JSA and all HSE requirements for job are followed. Fill out detailed daily service tickets reports, review with customer and have signed daily. Keep your supervisor/management informed of job progression daily.
