The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently with strong communication and mechanical skills. On-call rotation and proximity to Boise City, OK are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical skills preferred.
• 3 years’ verifiable natural gas or utility operations experience preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment testing.

Job Summary:

Field Technician will be responsible for multiple pipeline tasks on natural gas transmission and distribution systems including compliance work, pipeline and facility maintenance, project oversight, measurement, meter reading, and daily operations. The candidate will perform duties in office and field environments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Meter service and installation
• Pipeline locating
• Customer service
• Natural gas odor investigation
• Connecting and disconnecting natural gas services
• Construction and maintenance work
• Installing and repairing natural gas main and service lines
• Fusing pipe
• Maintain records associated with service and repair functions

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must have a valid driver’s License and maintain insurability with corporate insurance company which includes:

• • Been convicted of three or more speeding violations or one or more other serious violations.
  • Been involved in three or more chargeable accidents.

• Must successfully complete all required pre-employment testing.

• Must live within 35 miles of Boise City, OK.

• Employees are subject to on-call rotation.

• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.

• Requires excellent communication collaboration skills.

• Proficiency in MS Outlook

• Strong mechanical skills are a plus.

• 3 years’ verifiable experience in any combination of natural gas or utility operations preferred.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally

Driving, walking, standing frequently

Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
