Job summary

  • Prepare vehicles and kits for daily operations; maintain logs and databases.
  • Provide intermediate to complex support on field/environmental policies and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations; escalate when needed.
  • Collaborate with staff on policy implementation and issue resolution.

Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (overtime and weekends as needed)

SUMMARY

Responsible for collecting, testing, processing and maintenance of field/environmental samples, which involve knowledge on intermediate to complex environmental support policies, programs and practices while completing appropriate forms, documents, and databases and interacting with customers. Includes air, soil, water, and related areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provides field services using varied field/environmental support knowledge in the collection and review of conditions, including taking samples, completing test kits, and taking, documenting and communicating results.
  • Picks up, transports and delivers results, samples, documents, materials and other items as needed.
  • Prepares vehicle or truck for daily operations, including complex documents, kits, supplies, materials, safety, and related areas.
  • Reviews, completes and processes various types of logs, documents, databases, and related materials and information.
  • Provides intermediate to complex support in the application and assistance to staff and management regarding field/environmental support policies, programs and practices.
  • Provides various support researching issues and developing recommendations to resolve employee, management and related customer issues.
  • Assists in the review and implementation of field/environmental support policies, practices and programs to meet organizational, operations and management needs.
  • Assists with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; receives guidance and direction or escalates when required.
  • Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
  • Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of environmental support experience; Associates degree preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.

  • Valid Driver's License.
