The Louisiana Department of Revenue is seeking a Revenue Tax Auditor in the Field Audit Sales Tax Division to conduct in-state and out-of-state audits of complex businesses, ensuring compliance with tax laws and accurate tax collection.

The role requires substantial experience in tax accounting or auditing, with flexibility for travel and handling multiple tax types. Competitive SER rates apply and advancement paths exist.

Qualificações

• Three years of experience in tax accounting or tax auditing.
• Six years of full-time experience in any field plus 24 semester hours in accounting; OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 24 semester hours in accounting; OR
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business admin, management, econ, or statistics; OR
• Advanced degree in accounting, finance, business, management, economics, quantitative methods, or statistics, or JD; OR
• CPA license or Louisiana license to practice law.

Responsabilidades

• Perform in-state and out-of-state field audits of complex businesses to ensure tax compliance.
• Coordinate tax audits within Louisiana and other locations in the US.
• Audit various taxes including Corporation Income, Franchise, Personal Income, Sales/Use, etc.
• Examine financial statements, accounting records, tax reports, and operations of large corporations.
• Travel to out-of-state areas to audit taxpayers and determine tax liabilities.
