Job summary

Matrix Service is seeking a Tank and Specialty Vessel Welder to perform welding and grinding per job specs, select equipment, plan layout, and work with supervision to meet strict accuracy standards.

The role requires passing multiple weld tests (2G-4G for FCAW and SMAW, 2G-4G for 9% Nickel) and maintaining safety and site procedures. Travel/relocation and overtime are expected for project needs.

Qualifications

• Tank building experience preferred.
• Must pass drug screening and background check.
• Must have or obtain Basic Safety Council class courses.

Responsibilities

• Actively support safety and company values.
• Represent the company with integrity.
• Efficiently produce quality welds.
• Fit-up and prepare welds.
• Post-weld cleanup, inspection and repair.
• Communicate with Field Foreman about issues on site.
• Comply with Matrix safety policies and programs.
• Identify hazards and take corrective action.
