Job summary

Matrix Service is seeking a Tank and Specialty Vessel Welder to perform welding and grinding per job specifications and to assist with fit-up, layout, and assembly. The role interacts with supervision and requires adherence to strict accuracy standards and safety protocols.

The position requires passing multiple weld tests (FCAW, SMAW, ENiCrMo3, ENiCrMo-6) and maintaining a high pass rate on weld X-ray/visual exams. OSHA training and TWIC card are typical prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Tank Building experience preferred.
• Must pass drug testing.
• Must pass Basic Safety training.
• Must have or obtain TWIC card.
• Site may require fire retardant clothing.
• Read prints and follow written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Weld and grind per specs.
• Plan layout and assembly of welding.
• Coordinate with Field Foreman on job site issues.
• Perform fit-up and prep of welds.
• Perform post weld cleanup, inspection and repair.
• Maintain safety and quality standards.
