Reeder Distributors, Inc. is seeking a Tank Build/Maintenance Technician for the Fort Worth area. This hands-on, field-based role supports the Tank team with fuel polishing, tank maintenance, preparation, cleaning, and equipment loading.

The position requires travel, safety focus, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The role starts at $20.00 per hour, with weekly pay and potential higher rates based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or mechanical training preferred.
• Ability to travel to customer and job sites as required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Previous tank, fuel polishing, mechanical, equipment, or related field experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain attendance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
• Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and procedures.
• Comfortable outdoors and at heights; able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform fuel polishing services at customer locations and job sites.
• Assist Tank team with tank maintenance, assembly, preparation, cleaning, and field service.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, pumps, hoses, and related equipment.
• Perform paint preparation, power washing, and cleaning of tanks and equipment.
• Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
• Complete required forklift inspections and safeties.
• Operate forklifts to load/unload tanks and equipment.
• Document tank builds, modifications, and service work as required.
• Work safely at heights using fall-protection equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE; maintain clean work areas.
• Travel to customer locations and job sites; overnight travel as needed.
• Collaborate with Tank team to complete jobs safely and on schedule.
• Take initiative in daily tasks and support department needs.
