Job summary

WARREN RURAL ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE CORPORATION seeks a System Inspector in the Engineering Department. You will conduct field inspections of overhead and underground poles, ensuring soundness and compliance with RUS, APPA, NESC, and company standards.

Strong maps literacy and public interaction are essential. Responsibilities include maintenance of equipment, reporting hazards, and enforcing safety practices while working in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have experience interacting with the public.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Working knowledge of electric utility systems and safety codes.
• Able to read and interpret maps and locate accounts.
• Must have a valid driver's license and color vision.

Responsibilities

• Perform pole inspections and determine structural soundness.
• Inspect facilities for compliance with standards and safety practices.
• Inventory joint-use attachments and enforce violations.
• Use GPS to inventory facilities and map routes.
• Maintain tools and vehicles and report hazards or idle facilities.
• Communicate with members and obtain permission for accessing property.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
