Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC is seeking a Field Technician to perform surveying duties on active site projects in Geneva, IL. You will work with Field Leads, Safety Managers and Project Managers to support field services and ensure precise measurements.

The role requires at least 1 year of OSP construction or survey experience, ability to operate total stations and GPS equipment, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. Travel and outdoors work are possible in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of OSP construction, survey, or engineering experience in aerial or underground environment is required.
• Perform topographic surveys, aerial utility surveys, and construction staking.
• Operate a variety of survey equipment, including total stations and GPS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys to locate natural features and structures on surface and underground.
• Operate Total Station and GPS survey equipment on site.
• Record survey measurements with notes, drawings, and sketches.
• Search for property corners and survey monuments.
• Lay out and recover stakes and monumentation.
• Take detailed field notes and photographs.
