Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC is seeking a Field Technician to perform surveying duties, collaborating with Field Leads, Safety Managers and Project Managers. Primary office location: Geneva, IL.

You will conduct surveys of natural and man-made features, operate Total Station and GPS equipment, and record measurements with detailed notes and sketches. Qualifications include at least 1 year of OSP construction or survey experience, proficiency with total stations/GPS, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• One year of OSP construction or survey experience.
• Experience with total stations and GPS.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys to locate natural features and structures.
• Operate Total Station and GPS survey equipment.
• Record measurements with notes, drawings, and sketches.
• Search for property corners and monuments.
• Lay out stakes and monumentation.
• Take field notes and photographs.
• Coordinate with survey crew lead.
