Sherwood Surveying & S.U.E. in Spring Branch, TX, is seeking a Survey Field Technician. The role includes field data collection, staking projects, and operating survey instruments, with travel across Texas. Good teamwork and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications include a HS Diploma/GED (Associates preferred), plus familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or MicroStation. Employer offers health/vision insurance and retirement benefits; valid license required.

Formación

• HS Diploma or GED required; associates in Survey/Mapping preferred.
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in Electrical Utility Survey is a plus.
• Knowledge of surveying instruments and data collection equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Compile data to stake projects using engineering plans.
• Operate surveying instruments such as prisms, theodolites, and EDMs.
• Record survey measurements and notes; prepare topographic maps and plots.
• Perform earth curvature corrections and traverse adjustments.
• Set out and recover stakes and monumentation; lay out grids and controls.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles used by surveying crews.
