Job summary

You will perform boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients, operate and maintain survey equipment, and assist with data collection and office data reduction. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and clear communication as you support survey crews and interact with clients.

Field Survey Technician is a member of the Surveying and Geomatics Business Unit in Woodinville, WA.

Our Field Survey Technician will work as a member of a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients. The selected individual will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of survey equipment, taking field notes, data collection, performing calculations and working with DEA staff and clients on these projects. Involvement in the office will include reducing survey data, performing calculations, copying and filing of this data.

  • Receives instruction from Party Chief or surveyor

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of field survey experience
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong work ethic and accountability
  • Clean driving record required (no more than 3 accidents and/or moving violations in the last 36 months or 2 accidents and or moving violations within the last 12 months)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Trimble Total Station and GPS experience preferred
  • Proficiencies with MS Word and Excel a plus
