Job summary

The Kleingers Group in Louisville, KY is seeking a Survey Crew Chief III to join our field team. You will work outdoors on construction sites, retracing boundary lines, collecting data, and supporting design with accurate field notes.

Candidates must have 5+ years in land surveying, strong math, experience with electronic surveying instruments, GPS, and data collectors. Valid driver's license and ability to travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ consecutive years' work experience in Land Survey is required.
• May be required to travel overnight when needed.
• Good math background with solid knowledge and experience with electronic surveying instruments, field data collectors and GPS.
• Established history of working safely in the field.
• Must be self-driven, work autonomously, and able to complete workload without direct supervision.
• Good communication skills needed for client and internal contacts.
• Valid drivers' license required that meets company insurable standards.

Responsibilities

• Retrace boundary lines and collect data for mapping and design on construction sites.
• Compile notes, sketches and records of data obtained in the field.
• Operate surveying equipment including automatic level, robotic total station, data collectors and GPS.
• Maintain safety in the field and provide excellent client service.
