Job summary

You will identify drawing discrepancies, establish baseline controls and work points, and ensure accurate layout while coordinating with trades based on project documents.

Daily responsibilities include equipment inspection, inventory management, and developing crew schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; 3 years surveying experience required and 2 years supervisory experience.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Expert knowledge and use of surveying equipment.
• Proficient in CAD or other surveying programs for calculating coordinates.
• Read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
• Leadership, supervisory, interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate effectively in emergency situations.
• Proficient skills using smartphone/tablet for field communication and other job-related systems.
• Comprehend safety instructions and written safety instructions from tool manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise surveying tasks throughout project duration.
• Identify drawing discrepancies within building layout.
• Establish baseline-building controls and layout points; calculate and coordinate points from project docs.
• Ensure coordination between trades using contract drawings, shop drawings, and submittals.
• Conduct As-Built Surveys and prepare data for submission to owner.
• Engage and coordinate work with other trades.
• Conduct daily inspection of surveying equipment and track calibrations.
• Inventory and order surveying supplies.
• Develop and submit project billings based on established service rates.
• Develop work schedules and crew assignments.
• Assist with site safety and quality programs and ensure compliance with Turner standards.
• Complete time sheets and daily construction reports as directed.
• Demonstrate leadership, promote teamwork, and maintain positive relationships.
