Lowe Engineers is seeking a dependable Instrument Man to support our survey field crews in collecting accurate data for land development and infrastructure projects. This role works under the Survey Crew Chief, contributing to daily field operations with attention to detail and a willingness to learn, outdoors and in a collaborative team setting.

The ideal candidate has 0-2 years of surveying experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to handle equipment like total stations, GPS units,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of surveying or related field preferred; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of surveying principles is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather and terrain conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Survey Crew Chief with daily field operations and data collection.
• Operate and help maintain survey equipment, including total stations, GPS units, and data collectors.
• Set up and break down survey instruments and ensure proper calibration.
• Collect and record field data accurately and efficiently.
• Mark points, stake locations, and assist with construction layout activities.
• Maintain clear and organized field notes and documentation.
• Transport equipment and materials to and from job sites.
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards while in the field.
