Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator I to learn and operate a range of survey equipment, including total stations, GPS base stations, data collectors, drones, and levels. You will support the Survey Crew Chief on daily field surveys for boundary, topographic, construction layout, and utility surveys.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and reliability; travel up to four nights per week is required, with opportunities to grow through Ardurra Academy and Leadership

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Willingness to travel up to four nights per week.
  • Survey experience is preferred but not required.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Strong organizational skills and professional work ethic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work in a team or independently; must be team-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Accountability; planning & organization; personal development are valued.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the completion of field surveys of various commercial, utility, and residential projects.
  • Provide support for Survey Party Chief and other crew members.
  • Assist in other general technical support as needed.
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Surveyors and CAD Technicians as assigned or needed.
