Job summary

Allied Universal® Compliance and Investigation Services is hiring a Surveillance Investigator to perform discreet surveillance of claimants to support insurance claims. The role involves independent fieldwork with no fixed office location, requiring travel and adaptability.

You will conduct investigations across workers’ compensation, general liability, property and casualty, and disability claims, using various surveillance techniques and documenting observations thoroughly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Post‑offer training/orientation completion required.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable investigations or protective service experience.
• Flexible hours, including weekends/holidays.
• Ability to type reports in Word with good grammar.
• Proficient with laptops, video cameras and cell phones.
• Ability to stay focused and multitask in dynamic environments.
• Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent investigations of insurance claims across a range of coverage types.
• Utilize surveillance techniques and equipment to monitor subjects covertly.
• Document and report observations and relevant information clearly.
• Coordinate with other investigators and law enforcement as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal/ethical standards in surveillance operations.
