Job description

Entry Level Hardware Technicians Needed

Must have TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance!

Hours: M-F, 10am - 6 pm

Description
  1. The Hardware Technician provides Tier 2 and 3 on-site and remote support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.
  2. Conducts site surveys; assesses and documents current site configurations and user requirements.
  3. Analyzes existing requirements and prepares specifications for hardware acquisitions.
  4. Prepares engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages.
  5. Develops hardware installation schedules.
  6. Prepares drawings documenting configuration changes at each site and site installation and test reports.
  7. Configures computers, communications devices, and peripheral equipment.
  8. Trains site personnel in proper hardware use and builds specialized interconnecting cables.
  9. Troubleshoots, repairs, and tests computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.
  10. Installs and configures hardware and associated cabling.
  11. Maintains government and vendor fiber optic equipment and telephone systems.
  12. Updates technical drawings using AutoCAD as needed.
Requirements
  • High school/GED and 0-2 years of experience, with 8570 Certification; Security+ preferred. Willing to obtain certification after hire.
  • AA or BS in a technical field may substitute experience.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Highly skilled in hardware installation, repair, troubleshooting, and Windows OS (7 and 10).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Able to manage time effectively, work independently, and support end-users remotely.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to drive and lift 50 lbs.
  • Availability for an 8-hour shift between 6am and 6pm.

Salary Range: $46,000 - $49,300

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
