Job summary

Carolina Heating is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor Electrician to join our team. You will lead electricians and crews, visit sites to ensure safe, code-compliant work, and provide technical support for complex installations while maintaining safety and high customer service standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, estimating labor and materials, bidding projects, coordinating permits and inspections, and monitoring costs and profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in electrical field work.
• Leadership or field supervision experience.
• Experience estimating and pricing larger projects.
• Standby generator experience preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license based on local regs.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and local codes.
• Able to read blueprints, specs, plans, diagrams.
• Understanding of labor planning, takeoffs, job costing, gross margins.
• Excellent communication, organization and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and support electricians, apprentices, and installation crews.
• Visit job sites to ensure safe, code-compliant, high-quality work.
• Provide technical assistance with troubleshooting and complex installations.
• Review plans and job-site conditions.
• Prepare labor and material estimates for larger projects.
• Bid service upgrades, panel replacements, rewiring, remodels, new construction, and standby generator projects.
• Perform generator load calculations and recommend sizing and transfer switches.
• Develop proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and bills of materials.
• Coordinate permits, inspections, materials, utilities, subcontractors, and schedules.
• Monitor labor, materials, change orders, costs, and profitability.
• Train and coach field staff on safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.
• Follow up on proposals and convert opportunities into projects.
