Job summary

Carolina Heating Service Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor Electrician to lead and mentor our installation team across residential and light commercial electrical work.

You will ensure code-compliant, high-quality results on-site while managing risks and safety requirements. The role requires strong leadership, estimating skills, and a solid understanding of electrical systems, with a preference for generator experience and a Journeyman/Master license per local rules.

Qualifications

• At least five years of electrical field experience.
• Leadership or field supervision experience preferred.
• Experience estimating and pricing larger electrical projects.
• Standby generator experience preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred or required by local regulation.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local code requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and electrical plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and support electricians, apprentices, and installation crews.
• Visit job sites to ensure safe, code-compliant, high-quality work.
• Provide technical assistance with troubleshooting and complex electrical installations.
• Review plans, specifications, and job-site conditions.
• Prepare accurate labor and material estimates for larger electrical projects.
• Price and bid service upgrades, panel replacements, rewiring, remodels, new construction, and standby generator installations.
• Complete generator load calculations and recommend properly sized equipment and transfer switches.
• Develop scopes of work, project schedules, and material lists.
• Coordinate permits, inspections, materials, utilities, subcontractors, and schedules.
• Monitor labor, materials, change orders, and project profitability.
• Train and coach field staff on safety, quality, and customer service.
• Follow up on proposals and convert opportunities into completed projects.
