Job summary

Prestonwood Landscape Services, LLC is seeking a Field Manager to lead crews in daily landscape maintenance and installation tasks. You will guide operations, train team members, and ensure safety and quality on every jobsite, including mowing, planting, and site work.

Proficiency with landscape plans and blueprints is essential, as is driving company vehicles and recording hours on a tablet. The role requires 3+ years in commercial landscaping and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial landscaping, grounds maintenance, landscape installation, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience operating landscaping machinery and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and project blueprints.
• Prior crew leadership or supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to use smartphones or tablets for time entry and reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of landscape maintenance tasks, tools, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work directly alongside crew members in mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, planting, mulching, and clean-up.
• Lead by example, modeling proper techniques and work ethic.
• Provide hands-on training and guidance to less experienced crew members.
• Assist with and oversee commercial landscape installation projects, including planting, tree and shrub installation, bed preparation, grading, and other site work.
• Read and interpret landscape plans, project blueprints, and installation drawings to understand project layouts, dimensions, plant locations, and installation requirements.
• Accurately record and approve crew members’ time using a company-issued tablet or iPhone.
• Track job codes, hours, and field activity for reporting purposes.
• Communicate attendance, performance, and needs to branch leadership.
