Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is seeking a Field Supervisor in Gainesville, FL to lead a safety‑driven team of 40+ in field operations.

The role emphasizes ownership, trust, and teamwork while advancing EHS initiatives to protect employees, customers, and assets so everyone returns home safely each day. You will oversee front‑line safety enforcement, field inspections, client meetings, daily scheduling, payroll concerns, and coaching your crew in work‑zone setup and professional flagging.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; a 4-year degree in business-related field a plus
• 2-4 years supervisor experience and experience building large teams
• Strong relational skills

Responsibilities

• Front line safety – Protection of employees and customers against losses, injuries, and accidents through enforcement of safe work practices
• Ensure that safety, quality, training, employee engagement and retention are a prime focus of the business
• Perform field and vehicle inspections, attend pre-bid meetings, meet with clients and work in the field coaching and developing your team.
• Assist in creating daily schedules, monitor employee issues including payroll, timekeeping, benefits, time off requests, customer issues and training requirements
• Become an expert in the work zone setup/design and professional flagging.
• Lead a team of 40+

What you will do:

Qualifications

What you bring to us:

• High School Diploma or awarded GED - a 4-year degree in business-related field a plus
• 2 - 4 years of supervisor experience and experience building large teams
• Strong relational skills

Other things to know:

• Majority of time will be spent driving and in the field (90%)
• You will work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, not limited to heat, cold, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
• Valid Driver’s License void of suspension or revocation
• Typical workweek 40+ hours

Compensation Range: $60k - $65k per year + bonus potential
