Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking a Field Supervisor to protect workers and drivers in our traffic control environments. You will lead a 40+ member field team, coach on safety practices, and support field operations with daily scheduling, inspections, and client coordination.

You will drive initiatives in EHS, safety training, and incident prevention while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and operational excellence in outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 4-year degree in a business-related field is a plus.
• 2–4 years of supervisor experience; experience building large teams.
• Strong relational skills.

Responsibilities

• Front line safety – protection of employees and customers through enforcement of safe work practices.
• Oversee safety, quality, training, employee engagement and retention as a prime business focus.
• Perform field and vehicle inspections, attend meetings, and coach the team in the field.
• Create daily schedules and monitor payroll, timekeeping, benefits, time off, customer issues and training requirements.
• Become an expert in work zone setup/design and professional flagging.
• Lead a team of 40+.

What you will do:

• Front line safety – Protection of employees and customers against losses, injuries, and accidents through enforcement of safe work practices
• Ensure that safety, quality, training, employee engagement and retention are a prime focus of the business
• Perform field and vehicle inspections, attend pre-bid meetings, meet with clients and work in the field coaching and developing your team.
• Assist in creating daily schedules, monitor employee issues including payroll, timekeeping, benefits, time off requests, customer issues and training requirements
• Become an expert in the work zone setup/design and professional flagging.
• Lead a team of 40+
  

Qualifications
What you bring to us:

• High School Diploma or awarded GED - a 4-year degree in business-related field a plus
• 2 - 4 years of supervisor experience and experience building large teams
• Strong relational skills
  

Other things to know:

• Majority of time will be spent driving and in the field (90%)
• You will work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, not limited to heat, cold, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
• Valid Driver’s License void of suspension or revocation
• Typical workweek 40+ hours

Compensation Range: $60k - $65k per year + bonus potential
