Job summary

Alfred Williams & Company seeks a Field Supervisor to develop and lead our team of installers in the field and on the job site in Austin, TX. You will manage the installation process, pre-plan, review drawings, and coordinate with the Project Manager to hit milestones.

On-site duties include following the installation plan, documenting changes, leading walkthroughs with the client and Project Manager, training installers, enforcing safety guidelines, and evaluating performance weekly.

Qualifications

• Must have work experience supervising field crews and leading installers.
• Ability to coordinate installation plans with project managers and site leads.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to enforce guidelines on-site.
• Experience presenting training and leading seminars for installers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Installation Process and pre-plan installation parameters.
• Be on-site for each installation and document changes to the plan.
• Lead walkthroughs with lead installers and the client.
• Document punch items and submit electronically to the PM.
• Conduct training seminars for installers and subcontractors.
• Manage warehouse dock operations to ensure on-time delivery.
• Enforce safety guidelines and review JHA forms with teams.
• Perform weekly PDCA evaluations with the PM or HMPS Lead.
• Lead by example and maintain Alfred Williams & Company uniforms.
• Own a quarterly focus area (training, tools, safety, etc.).

Job description

Alfred Williams & Company is looking for a Field Supervisor. This position is expected to develop and lead our team of installers in the field and on the job site. The Field Supervisor will:

• Manage the Installation Process
  • Meet with Project Manager prior to start of installation to gain knowledge of installation parameters including critical dates, milestones and other key personnel involved in the project
  • Pre-plan the installation implementation
    • Man-hour utilization
    • Review drawings and know all product lines that are being installed
    • Meet with installation teams leads before install begins and share implementation process
  • Installation
    • Required to be on-site for duration of each installation
    • Follow installation plan and document any changes that were made to the original plan, and review any changes with the Installation Manager
    • Lead a walkthrough of installation with lead installers before dismissing the team from the jobsite
    • Perform formal walk through with the Alfred Williams & Company Project Manager and Client
    • Document any punch issues on drawing and punch list form, and submit those items electronically to the Alfred Williams & Company Project Manager
  • Perform training seminars for Alfred Williams & Company installers and our sub-contractors

Manage warehouse dock operations as it relates to loading product and having the installers to arrive at their destination on time - use this time to evaluate installation staff to ensure compliance with Alfred Williams & Company's installer requirements (i.e., uniform, present for duty, drawings, tools)

• Enforce safety guidelines, principles, and practices
  • Fill out JHA's for each project you are assigned to and review with the installation team assigned to those projects
• Perform PDCA evaluation at a minimum occurrence of once per week, and review with the Installation Manager or HMPS Lead
• Lead by example
  • Will be accountable for the success and/or failure of each project you are assigned
  • Have a positive/uplifting demeanor

  • Be the model for the Alfred Williams & Company installers and sub-contractors
• Will be assigned a focus area/portfolio each quarter - these are not limited to, but will include

Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift, push or pull products weighing 50-100 lbs.
• Two (2) years experience with systems furniture preferred
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills
