Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation (U.S.) is seeking a Field Superintendent – Service in Philadelphia, PA. You will oversee servicing, maintenance and repair activities on assigned elevator units, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and cost targets while guiding a team of field technicians.

You will drive operational excellence by coordinating routes, parts, payroll checks and adherence to service contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in relevant work experience in the elevator industry or other technical field.
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee servicing, maintenance and repair of assigned units to meet quality, safety and cost standards.
• Lead field technicians to ensure maintenance meets contract requirements and profitability.

Your Main Responsibilities

As a Field Superintendent of Existing Installations (EI), you will oversee servicing, maintenance and repair of assigned units to meet customer and company standards for quality, safety and cost management. Support area objectives through effective project oversight and employee management.

Operations Management – Build a safe and effective team environment by leading field technicians to ensure maintenance meets quality standards as well as contract requirements. Coordinate routes, scheduling, ordering parts and verifying payroll accuracy while assuring profitability. Partner with Area/Territory Operations Managers with implementation of company & industry best practices to achieve service financial and delivery metrics.

Quality and Safety – Perform regular site inspections to deliver exceptional service, maintenance, warranty and repair offerings. Conduct Field Safety Audits at required intervals to ensure technicians understand and follow safe

Employee development, planning & logistics – Educate technicians on processes, tools and standards through training and performance programs thereby continuously improving service delivery. Manage logistics and implement preventive maintenance strategies; schedule quarterly customer site visits.

Collaboration – Collaborate with the local sales team to estimate service orders; Maintain relationships with local IUEC business agents and communicate effectively to resolve disputes. Partner with New Installation and Modernization Project Managers during contract conversions to ensure customer satisfaction.

Problem Solving – Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and customer to investigate, resolve and address any operational challenges that may arise.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in relevant work experience in the elevator industry or other technical field

5+ years of technical leadership experience preferred.
