Field Superintendent Repair

Responsibilities

As a Schindler Field Superintendent, the candidate’s role will include providing technical solutions, ensuring workplace safety, supervising technicians and job site activity, and supporting service, maintenance and repair sales. The Field Superintendent, Repair is responsible for the repair of all assigned units so as to conform to customer and Company requirements as related to quality improvement, safety, cost improvement and customer satisfaction in support of Region objectives.

• Build a team environment by leading field technicians
• Manage training and development of field technicians on established processes, tools and standards
• Support sales staff in estimating service orders, scheduling and executing orders, and investigating and resolving customer complaints
• Manage ongoing program of project audit to assure conformance of performance standards of quality, completeness and safety
• Develop and implement program of manpower selection, training and performance appraisal essential to productivity and quality improvement objectives
• Evaluate and initiate requests for tooling where such tooling would support productivity improvement
• Maintain and manage proactive relationships with local IUEC business agent
• Foster excellent communication among team members while maintaining good working relationships with the local union
• Ensure that service, maintenance and repair offerings meet Company quality and safety standards, as well as all contract requirements
• Continuously improve service delivery to ensure uniformly efficient and effective service
• Implement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance and passenger safety
• Develop a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality among all employees
• Participate in Company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of Elevator Company products, services and procedures

Compensation

Base Salary $113,400 - $141,700

The above represents the typical salary range for this position. Revisions to the range may be considered based on your experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities. Please note that the compensation listed reflects only base salary and does not include commissions or longer-term incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3+ years of technical experience in the elevator industry or related field
• Experience in installation and service of elevators/escalators preferred
• Prior supervisory experience with a unionized workforce is preferred
• Computer proficiency required; experience in Microsoft Office suite software, Lotus Notes and SAP is preferred
• Must have ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
