Field Superintendent Modernization

Base Salary: $113,400 - $141,700
Your Main Responsibilities
Field Superintendent is responsible for the installation of new construction and modernization projects, servicing and repair of all assigned units to meet customer and company requirements related to quality, safety, cost, and customer satisfaction. This includes employee selection, training, and safety for all assigned projects.
Essential Functions
- Assure that each installation project meets area and company quality standards and all contract requirements.
- Monitor job completion checkpoints and implement corrective actions to drive installation performance to best demonstrated practice.
- Implement customer and company requirements for quality, performance reliability, and passenger safety under supervision.
- Implement EEO/AA requirements consistent with area and/or state and federal regulations.
- Support sales staff in estimating service orders, scheduling, executing orders, and investigating and resolving customer complaints.
- Manage ongoing project audit program to assure conformance of performance standards for quality, completeness, and safety.
- Develop and implement manpower selection, training, and performance appraisal programs to improve productivity and quality.
- Implement route management strategy to apply preventive maintenance procedures while controlling manpower to minimum level.
- Develop a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality improvement among all employees.
- Evaluate and initiate requests for tooling that supports productivity improvement.
- Maintain proactive relationships with local IUEC business agent.
- Advise area management of competitor activity related to pricing, performance, and manpower.
- Teach hourly employees the company’s methods of quality, productivity, and safety and persuade them to follow best practices.
- Communicate with and influence business agents, inspectors, etc., to resolve disputes and demonstrate fair value to customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree preferred and/or vocational school background.
- Working knowledge of elevators and escalators preferred; experience in related building industries (HVAC, security, etc.) considered.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and proven leadership abilities.
- Ability to interpret customer concerns and mobilize internal resources to ensure satisfaction while minimizing cost and HR disruption.
- Sound judgment in motivating, training, and assigning work to employees while adjusting manpower to minimum levels and exceeding customer requirements.
