Job summary

Arbon Equipment Corporation is seeking a Field Superintendent to oversee installations across the Greater Roanoke, VA area. You will lead on-site teams, coordinate with contractors, and ensure safety and quality on each project while maximizing profitability.

You will work with sales for technical input and with admin to keep projects efficient. Occasional overnight travel (10–20%) required. A strong communicator with construction experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree with 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Degree in construction management preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

The Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing product installations throughout the Greater Roanoke, VA area, exceeding customer expectations while maximizing profitability. The Field Superintendent works with both in-house staff and subcontractors. The Field Superintendent ensures all quality and safety standards are met on each project, coordinates product and equipment availability with the customer and installation teams, resolves any bottlenecks, and escalates problems as necessary. The primary focus is on our larger projects, working directly with general contractors and customers, and being on-site frequently throughout the process. The Field Superintendent also works with sales personnel to provide technical expertise, and interfaces with the administrative support team to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Required Experience

• 2-year degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or similar combination of experience and education.
• Degree in construction management and/or experience in managing commercial construction projects is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective multi-tasker and project manager.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Committed to a culture of safety and quality.
• Availability for occasional (10-20%) overnight travel.
