Job summary

Groundworks is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations in Manchester, NH for foundation repair and related services, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence, with opportunity to grow within an employee-owned company.

You will manage crews and coordinate subcontractors, enforce OSHA standards, mentor staff, and contribute to budgeting while operating onsite full-time with a strong development program.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years in construction supervision, preferably foundation repair or related groundwork.
  • Strong knowledge of foundation repair, waterproofing, crawl space encapsulation, and concrete leveling.
  • Proven leadership managing multiple crews and subcontractors.
  • Excellent understanding of safety regulations and ability to enforce them.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and project schedules.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with project management software is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Commitment to uphold Groundworks’ standards of professionalism and customer service.

  • Coordinate multiple crews and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
  • Monitor project schedules and adjust resources to meet deadlines.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA standards on all job sites.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets design specifications and company standards.
  • Communicate regularly with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to provide updates and resolve issues.
  • Lead safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safety-first culture.
  • Oversee logistics including equipment, materials, and site access to maintain clean, safe, and efficient work environments.
  • Mentor and support field staff and junior superintendents to develop their skills.
  • Investigate incidents or accidents and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist with budgeting and cost control related to field operations.
  • It is an essential function of this job that the employee regularly and reliably reports to work on time each working day.

The Senior Superintendent leads and oversees all field operations related to foundation repair, basement waterproofing, crawl space encapsulation, and concrete lifting projects. This role ensures projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the company’s high-quality standards, maintaining Groundworks’ reputation for reliable and professional foundation solutions.

Working Conditions

Full-time Onsite Ability to sit for extended periods, use fine motor skills for tasks like typing and document handling, good vision for reading and reviewing documents, and clear communication abilities for in-person and phone interactions with employees. Minimal physical exertion beyond basic mobility around the office environment, or travel to different locations by car or through airports and flights.
