Job summary

Robins & Morton is seeking a Field Superintendent to lead healthcare construction efforts, coordinating field activities, schedules, and safety programs in the Charlotte area.

You will manage site layout, daily logs, and quality control while maintaining client relations and collaborating with the project development team to meet contract timeframes.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of related experience, education and/or training, specifically with healthcare construction.
  • Knowledge of industry safety procedures and OSHA regulations; OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred.
  • Competent in all aspects of building layout, e.g. site, structure, partitions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and establish flow of work activities on the project; coordinate all field activities.
  • Plan and set up an efficient jobsite layout.
  • Direct or aid in development of an overall project schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly jobsite, utilizing 5s.
  • Uphold OSHA regulations and R&M Safety Program.
  • Maintain daily logs to document all jobsite activities and events.
  • Implement and maintain quality control and life safety checkout procedures.
  • Lead in accordance with R&M policies and priorities within project contract.
  • Maintain client and designer relations and work with the project development team.
  • Address job obstacles discussed in scheduling meetings and ensure progress aligns with contract time.

The Field Superintendent provides leadership and direction in the field by leading smaller projects and/or working with Superintendents on larger projects. This position strives for continuous improvement in their areas of responsibility through teamwork, sharing personal knowledge and experience, and personal growth through active learning.

  • 8-10 years of related experience, education and/or training, specifically with a minimum of 2 years of healthcare construction experience.
  • Knowledge of industry safety procedures and OSHA regulations. OSHA 30 Hour certification, preferred.
  • Competent in all aspects of building layout, e.g., site, structure, partitions, etc.
