Micro Matic USA, Inc. is seeking a Field Support & Development Technician to deploy customer solutions and contribute to prototype design, assembly, and testing.
The role combines hands-on hardware and software work with direct customer interactions to troubleshoot during installations and demonstrations. You will collaborate with engineering and sales, document field activities, and travel up to 50% for customer visits.
The Field Support & Development Technician plays a dual role in supporting customer deployments and contributing to the development and testing of prototype systems. This position requires a hands-on technician with strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work directly with customers, and experience in assembling and validating hardware and software solutions. This role supports customer demonstrations, installations, and technical engagements, while also contributing to the design, assembly, and testing of prototype systems and components.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
2+ years of experience in a technical support or prototyping role.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, Electronics, or related field.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience creating prototypes is highly desirable
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for customer visits and field support.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to use Industrial Math Skills with proficiency.
