Job summary

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is seeking motivated early‑career engineers to join our Salt Lake City office in a role that combines field work, investigations, and repair design.

You'll contribute across investigate–design–build processes, gain hands-on experience with field condition assessments, forensic investigations, and construction support, and travel to site locations nationwide under mentoring guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering and structural work experience.
• FE exam completion is required for unlicensed candidates.
• Understanding of structural behavior and concrete/steel fundamentals.
• Ability to read drawings and use design software (SAP2000, RISA, STAAD).
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills.
• Willingness to travel and work in field locations locally and beyond Salt Lake City.

Responsibilities

• Investigate existing conditions, document deterioration and site constraints, and help develop repair solutions.
• Develop repair and strengthening designs, conduct analyses, and prepare drawings and reports under senior guidance.
• Support construction by verifying field conditions and assisting with submittals and observations.
• Engage with clients and project development, contributing to scopes, proposals, and effort estimates.
• Deliver well-documented work, clarify requirements, and resolve review comments while following standards.
• Communicate progress, respond to project needs, participate in meetings, and raise safety concerns early.
