Job summary

Dudek is seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual for an as-needed, QSD-certified Storm Water Inspector in Blythe, CA. The selected candidate will assist with inspecting construction projects for compliance with storm water regulations, notably the California Construction General Permit, in a field setting.

This position is variable-hour with a minimum of two days per week, primarily in the field. Strong QSD credentials, BMP/NPDES knowledge, and ability to work outdoors are essential.

Qualifications

• A QSP/QSD certification is required.
• Strong MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet skills.
• Familiarity with BMP and NPDES regulation knowledge.
• Familiarity with construction job sites and plans.
• Familiarity with field sampling equipment.
• Capable of field work and walking on difficult terrain.
• Must meet pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
• Valid driver's license and active automobile liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 30-day, semi-annual, pre-storm, storm-event, and post-storm inspections per SWPPP.
• Trouble-shoot site compliance and BMP issues.
• Communicate site/BMP issues and inspection results with project team and client.
• Collect storm water and non-storm water samples.
• Conduct field analyses of samples as needed.
• Verify site compliance with SWPPP, maps and permit conditions.
• Complete and submit SWPPP reporting forms.
• Advise project management on BMP implementation and compliance issues.
• Lead SWPPP-related training and communications for project staff.
