Job summary

ASC Machine Tools, Inc. seeks an Automation Technician in Spokane Valley, WA to commission and startup machinery, troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs, and audit existing equipment in the shop and at customer sites.

You will collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure automated equipment meets design specifications and high performance standards, with travel to customer facilities across the United States and Canada.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting electrical controls and PLCs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% for field work.

Responsibilities

• Commission and start up new industrial equipment in shop and at customer facilities.
• Write, modify, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI code.
• Audit and inspect existing equipment for performance issues.
• Diagnose electrical and controls problems during build, startup, and field integration.
• Collaborate with engineers and assembly teams to test functionality.
• Maintain up-to-date software and update documentation.
