Qualifications

  • Maintains equipment, facilities and work area in safe condition.
  • Monitor and analyze data to recommend services and solutions.
  • Performs job planning, tool prep, mobilization, execution and data submission for invoicing.
  • Available on 24 hours call basis to respond to customer needs.
  • Oversees and mentors field operation crew members where applicable.
  • Performs engineering checks on client location with possible calculations and software updates.

Job Overview:

Weatherford have a great opportunity for experienced Field Specialist to join the Completions Team in Williston, North Dakota.

The Field Specialist is responsible for technical interface at well sites, delivering superior service quality to clients in the oil and gas industry. This role offers progressive career growth from entry‑level to senior positions, where you'll apply specialized techniques to troubleshoot complex technical issues, manage equipment installations, and lead field operations crews. Available 24/7 to meet customer needs, you'll work hands‑on with advanced technology while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Participates in all daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and reports any issues promptly using the appropriate tools
  • Maintains equipment, facilities and work area in a presentable and safe working conditions
  • Monitor and analyzes data to recommend services and solutions
  • Demonstrates knowledge & skills to perform work processes according to their role level experience & competence
  • Performs job planning, preparation of tools & equipment, mobilization, job execution and submits all job‑related data, not limited to job reports, WPTS data entry, observation cards while on‑site, service tickets or logs with the required signatory, and any other documents required to successfully invoice the client within an acceptable time.
  • Available on 24 hours call basis to respond to customer needs.
  • Tests, operates & maintains tools & equipment as per work instructions, according to policies & procedures in safe and presentable working conditions against their level of training & competence
  • Develops and maintains a positive relationship with clients to ensure repeat business
  • Fully responsible for delivering superior Service Quality to the client
  • Effectively manage inventory and supplies required at the well site
  • Follows up failures with the R&M team and ensures failure reports are closed with clients
  • Contribute, participate or lead equipment failure investigations that support Root Cause Analysis reports
  • Where the level of the role requires, oversees, leads and mentors Field Operation crew members
  • Senior level roles may act as technical advisors to management and they may interpret data for client representatives to optimize services
  • Intermediate and Senior level roles will perform engineering checks while on client location. This may include hand calculations, updates of software computations, or new computations based on the latest data.
  • Senior level Field Specialist will manage the installation of complex equipment and/or services in the field
  • Performs other duties and activities safely as assigned by the supervisor within physical constraints of the job
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 1 – 2 ½ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • High School Diploma
  • Technical Certificate from accredited Technical/Vocational School Preferred
Skills:
  • Fundamentals of Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics, Pneumatics, and/or Hydraulics

Travel Requirement:
  • This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: 50-75%
