Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD or master's degree required at appointment time.
• Hours of upper-level coursework in child, adolescent, and adult development; education and learning theory; organizational systems/human resource management; community development/partnerships; and volunteerism.

Responsibilities

• Implement 4-H Positive Youth Development programs in community, school, and after-school settings.
• Use research-based curriculum and teaching methods.
• Provide leadership to 4-H councils and committees.
• Recruit, develop, and train youth and adults to assist as leaders.
• Conduct evaluations of Missouri 4-H programs.
• Ensure participation opportunities for youth and adults in county Extension programs.
• Apply for and administer local grants and other funding sources.
• Supervise and develop program staff.
