Job summary

Is-International-Services is seeking a Field Solutions Specialist to resolve technical problems and implement field solutions through cross-functional coordination across Manufacturing and Sustaining Engineering. The role involves BESS hardware, software, information systems, IoT, and core computing devices, including data collection and networking components.

The candidate should have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and at least 5+ years in BESS design, plus 3+ years in staff or systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with BESS design, computer, electrical, and system engineering.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Staff or Systems Engineer.
• Minimum 3+ years of field or field support experience.
• Experience driving complex emergent issues to resolution.
• Experience with ISO 9000 quality programs.
• Experience commissioning and coordinating installation of engineering systems such as BESS.
• Familiarity with NFPA codes and standards.

Job description

The Field Solutions Specialist will contribute to the resolution of technical problems and implementation of field solutions through cross-functional coordination. This role requires coordinating across company organizational boundaries, serving as an individual contributor and liaison between Manufacturing and Sustaining Engineering to develop solutions to system and equipment level issues, including BESS hardware, software, and information systems, batteries, power converters, controls software, IoT and core computing devices, data collection, and network components.

Responsibilities

The Field Solutions Specialist will:

• Provide technical contributions through problem identification, solution development, and field implementation.
• Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide support, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
• Prioritize and resolve issues through coordination with relevant stakeholders for adherence to timelines and cost-effective solutions to minimize project impact in the region.
• Suggest and support execution of process improvement recommendations in the region or group based on metric data.
• Develop, analyze, and report metrics for project issues in the region.

• Knowledge of product lifecycle and product innovation.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and other project management methodologies.
• Proven success on challenging projects where you made key contributions while demonstrating ownership, creativity, and initiative.
• Ability to manage time-sensitive deliverables and deliver them on budget, on time, and to the satisfaction of the relevant stakeholder.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively to internal and external audiences.
• Solid skills on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Desire to learn new skills, business applications, and equipment platforms.
• Effective in a collaborative yet informally structured work environment, with a desire to take responsibility and initiative.
