Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and maintaining electronic traffic data equipment.
• Preparing and testing portable traffic counters for deployment.
• Installing and maintaining roadside electronic monitoring equipment.
• Using test equipment and tools to diagnose and repair gear.
• Routine inspections and maintenance of traffic monitoring equipment.
• Monitoring contractor activities for contract compliance.
• Maintaining equipment inventory and shop supplies.
• Supporting traffic studies including FHWA programs.
• Providing support to Electronics Technician II on projects.
• Traveling statewide to inspect equipment and supervise field work.
