This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop and field. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. An Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience is preferred. Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and competence.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for handling and feeling. Also, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, lift, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions and moving mechanical parts; occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, weather extremes, and vibration. Noise level is moderate to loud.
