Job summary

Gardner-Watson Decking, Inc. is seeking a Field Sheet Metal Decking Technician to lay and fasten metal decking to steel framing, perform welding on decking, and install shear studs.

The role requires climbing and working at heights as well as travel to sites nationwide. This full-time, daytime position involves outdoor construction on diverse projects across multiple states, with per diem and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be willing to travel nationwide and work outdoors at height.
• Experience with hand, power, pneumatic, and powder-actuated tools is required.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lay and fasten metal decking to steel framing.
• Perform welding on decking and install shear studs.
• Operate and maintain tools; record time and attendance accurately.
• Follow safety standards and assist with other tasks as needed.
