Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health, and Environment Field Specialist to provide on-the-ground safety support for Oil & Gas and Remediation projects. You will act as the eyes and ears on project sites, identifying hazards and leading corrective actions to protect field personnel.

The role requires 4+ years of field safety experience, OSHA 30/CHST credentials are preferred, and candidates must pass background checks. On-site work with potential remote sites is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 4+ years in safety, health, and environment on field Oil & Gas or remediation projects.
• Candidates must pass client-specific background and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site safety representative providing continuous field support and oversight.
• Conduct routine and unscheduled site visits to monitor safety policy compliance.
• Identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions with field teams.
• Assist with incident investigations including root cause analysis and documentation.
• Perform Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) to ensure readiness prior to operations.
• Support safety audits, inspections, and regulatory checks.
• Communicate safety expectations and reinforce best practices with crews and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate records of site observations, incidents, and safety activities.
